We wait all year for fresh panettone to arrive for the holidays, and we super excited with our newest addition this season from Olivieri 1882. Olivieri 1882 are the real deal and a must try. Olivieri continues to be recognized by gastronomes around the world, including their recent award from Gambero Rosso for the Best Artisan panettone in Italy!
This classic panettone is made with only natural sourdough passed through a 48-hour double fermentation. It is filled with 5 crown raisins, candied oranges and fragrant Madagascar vanilla beans. Made with four times more eggs than many other panettones on the market, it is extremely rich and moist with a tender crumb. It’s completely free from preservatives, semi-finished products, flavorings and vegetable fats.
In 1882, Luigi Olivieri began baking in the town of Arzignano in the northeastern Veneto region, at the very base of the Alps. Today, with Chef Nicola Olivieri at the helm, the family continues on with the proud tradition of hand making panettone cakes with only top-quality ingredients, using a natural process and time-honored techniques.
